Water Heater...

Did you know that you should drain your water heater periodically?  Sediment settles to the bottom of the tank forming a sort of ‘mud’.  This in turn insulates the water from burner (or element) below, rendering the unit inefficient and reducing its life cycle.  While it does not need to be drained annually, every 3-4 years is a good rule of thumb.  A little bit of basic (but important) prep work is required.  Simply Google ‘how to drain a water heater’ for this info.
