Fireplace information

Did you know that there is an easy and inexpensive way to stop cold air from entering the home through a wood-burning fireplace?  It’s known as a ‘fireplace balloon’ and is intended for fireplaces that are not being used (which is common).  This innovative gadget can be slid into the flue above the damper with a ‘wand-like’ fill valve.  When inflated it tightly seals cold air (and birds, ladybugs, etc.) from dropping into the fireplace.  It can be removed as easily as it is installed.  Simply Google fireplace balloon for more information.
